A Mechanical Watch That Inherits The Design Of The 44GS,
Showcasing A Crimson Hue.

The 44GS, born in 1967, established Grand Seiko's unique design philosophy, "Seiko Style." This mechanical watch inherits the structure that depicts the countless expressions created between light and shadow, which was embodied in the 44GS, and is enveloped in a "44GS Modern Design" that adds a contemporary interpretation.

The movement features the Caliber 9S85, which combines high precision and durability with 10 vibrations per second. The case and band are made of "Ever Brilliant Steel," a stainless steel material with world-class corrosion resistance. The deep crimson dial stands out against the case, which emits the material's characteristic white luster. It is inspired by the sunrise that beautifully colors the slopes of Mount Iwate.
Everbrilliant Steel Boasts Excellent Corrosion Resistance.

Everbrilliant Steel, a stainless steel material boasting the world's highest level of corrosion resistance, surpasses the corrosion resistance of stainless steel materials commonly used in high-end watches, while also possessing a beautiful, white luster. Traditionally, this material has been used for harsh environments such as marine structures and equipment exposed to chloride-containing environments in chemical and food processing plants, making it difficult to meet the quality requirements for jewelry like watches. However, Grand Seiko, which pursues beauty that can be cherished for a long time, has completely re-examined the conventional manufacturing process and succeeded in making it practical for both cases and bracelets.
